Animal Welfare Concern Reporting
“No facility employee, committee member, laboratory personnel or other person shall be discriminated against or subject to any reprisal for reporting violations.” - Animal Welfare Act
In compliance with the Animal Welfare Act, the Chair of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) will accept any complaint regarding inappropriate care, misuse and/or abuse of animals at this institution and refer the complaint to the IACUC for review.
To file a complaint:
Submit a written report, by e-mail or traditional mail of the alleged violation to the Chairperson of the IACUC
The report should include a factual description of the inappropriate care, misuse, and/or abuse of animals, the date, time, and location of the alleged violation, animal species and numbers of animals involved, identifications of animals, personnel involved, and any other relevant details
The complainant’s identity will be kept confidential.
Anonymous reports are also accepted if sufficient detail is provided to allow adequate investigation of the allegations.
