Fall 2014 Grant Proposal Development Course
Are you a full-time EKU faculty or staff member with an interest in pursuing external grant funding, but don’t know where to start? Join us this fall for an 8-week course on Grant Proposal Development.
The goal of the course is to provide instruction and resources for developing competitive grant proposals for submission to external sponsoring agencies. We will begin the semester by discussing how to plan a project and then share resources for identifying and evaluating funding opportunities. We'll look in detail at reviewing application guidelines, preparing a proposal narrative, and developing a project budget. We'll finish the semester with information about the proposal review process and a session with a discussion panel of faculty sharing their experiences with the grants-seeking process.
The course is available at no cost to full-time EKU faculty and staff with an interest in submitting competitive grant proposals for funding to support research, instruction, or service projects to be conducted as part of EKU’s mission. The expectation is that all course participants will submit a competitive grant proposal within two years of completing the course.
Fall 2014 course sessions will be held weekly on Tuesdays morning from 9:30 to 11:00 beginning on August 19 and going through October 7. Sessions will be held in the Coates 11B computer lab. Pre-registration is required by completing the online registration form. For more information about the course or to register, please click here.
