As defined in EKU's PHS Assurance, IACUC members are required to complete three educational requirements.

PHS Policy on Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals Tutorial
At least once every three years, members are required to certify that they have completed the online PHS Policy on Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals Tutorial (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/olaw/tutorial/index.htm). A signed certification must be submitted to Sponsored Programs for the IACUC records.

OLAW Website Resources
IACUC members are required to devote a minimum of one hour reviewing information available on the Office of Lab Animal Welfare website ( http://grants.nih.gov/grants/olaw/olaw.htm) during each calendar year. A signed certification must be submitted to Sponsored Programs for the IACUC records.

CITI Online Training
The CITI "Essentials for IACUC Members" training must be completed at least once every three years. Click here for instructions on registering for and completing the online training. Sponsored Programs can access training records through the CITI administrative interface.
